Welcome!

   News & Events:

Dating from the 16th century, the present Grade II Listed farmhouse was originally one of five granges attached to the Cistercian Abbey of Sibton, founded in the 12th century.  South Grange housed the farming lay brothers and the original moat, fishponds and meadow are a Scheduled Ancient Monument.

The whole site retains its centuries old peaceful atmosphere.

The house nestles in a large natural

garden, rich in wildlife, with terrace, suitable for BBQs, and other sitting areas.  The house is off a lightly used single-track road and the farmyard provides ample off-road parking space.  The golden silence is broken only by birdsong and the absence of street lighting brings amazing night skies.

Set in Suffolk's truly beautiful world heritage coast location with unspoilt countryside and friendly roads, South Grange is within easy reach of Aldeburgh, Dunwich, Southwold, Walberswick,Orford and Snape as well as other historic and picturesque towns and villages, including Halesworth, Woodbridge and Framlingham with its massive castle and nearby vineyards.  Ipswich, Lowestoft, Great Yarmouth and Norwich can all be easily reached and the North Norfolk Coast is within a day trip.

Dunwich Heath and RSPB Minsmere is close by with unrivalled bird and wildlife watching facilities (and great cakes).  Golf, sailing, fishing, riding and beautiful walks are all locally available.  Cycle hire is close by and drying facilities are available for cyclists, birdwatchers and walkers!

Nearest rail services are at Darsham and Saxmundham.
